Your beach right now

Active National Weather Service alerts for each beach, straight from the local forecast office.

Chips marked Β· NHC come from the Hurricane Center's advisory, which can name an area before the local office posts it.

Local Weather Service alerts can lag the Hurricane Center's advisory by an hour or two. If they disagree, go with the stricter one.

Get free flag alerts on your phone.
We send them only for dangerous water: double red flags, or red flags with rip currents.

If you're visiting

The basics, from the people who live here.

  • Stay out of the water. Rip currents and big surf show up days before a storm arrives, even on sunny days.
  • Ask your hotel or rental about their storm plan today: evacuation, check-out changes and refunds.
  • Know your evacuation zone and how you'd leave. Bridges can close in high winds, so check FL511 before you drive.
  • Never drive through flooded roads. Turn around. A foot of moving water can float a car.
  • Charge your phone and keep a flashlight handy in case the power goes out.
  • Check flights directly with your airline before heading to the airport.
