Welcome to What's Good Local ("WGL," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing whatsgoodlocal.com, any of its subdomains, or any WGL service — including our text message programs — you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. What We Do

What's Good Local is a local discovery and tourism-information platform serving Florida's Emerald Coast. We publish information about local businesses, events, beach conditions, and activities, and we may connect you to third-party booking providers for tours, rentals, dining, and experiences.

2. Informational Content & Beach Conditions Disclaimer

Beach flag status, surf conditions, weather data, and safety information published on our sites or sent through our alert programs are provided for general informational purposes only. While we strive for timely and accurate updates, conditions change rapidly and without notice. Always obey posted flags, on-duty lifeguards, and local authorities — they supersede any information we publish. WGL is not a substitute for official emergency services or official beach safety authorities, and we make no warranty that alerts will be delivered without delay, error, or interruption. You assume all risk associated with beach and water activities.

3. SMS / Text Message Programs

WGL offers optional text message programs, including WGL Beach Flag Alerts (beach flag and water-safety notifications) and WGL Local Deals (offers and promotions from local businesses).

  • Opt-in: You will only receive program messages if you expressly opt in — for example, by submitting your phone number through an opt-in form on our website and checking the consent box for the program(s) you choose, or by texting a program keyword to our number.
  • Message frequency varies. Beach Flag Alerts are sent when official flag or safety conditions change. Local Deals messages are typically sent no more than a few times per week.
  • Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the email below. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: Phone numbers and opt-in consent data are used solely to operate the program(s) you selected. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. Third-Party Bookings & Businesses

Bookings, reservations, and purchases made through links on our sites are transacted with independent third-party businesses and booking platforms (such as tour operators and reservation systems). WGL is not the merchant of record, does not operate the experiences listed, and is not responsible for the acts, omissions, pricing, availability, cancellation policies, or service quality of any third-party business. 5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse our services, including by scraping content at scale, attempting to disrupt or overload our systems, submitting false information, or using our platforms for any unlawful purpose.
